Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles (vans, box trucks) to transport goods across Portland metro area
- Plan efficient daily routes using GPS technology to meet delivery deadlines
- Load/unload shipments with proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer communication logs
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- 1+ year professional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Portland area roads and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for route planning software
