As a Route Driver, you represent the face of our brand. You will ensure timely deliveries, handle cargo with care, and provide a professional experience for every client you serve.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles on assigned routes within the Houston metropolitan area.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing items to prevent damage.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of each stop.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, mileage records, and delivery paperwork.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve delivery issues professionally.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws, as well as company safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License (Class A or B CDL preferred; Class B with experience accepted).
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a professional environment.
- Strong knowledge of Houston, TX roads and traffic patterns.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
