Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods across designated routes in Chicago metro area
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic manifests using our fleet management system
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and handle product exchanges professionally
- Optimize routes for efficiency while adhering to traffic regulations and delivery schedules
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes or delivery issues
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience with route delivery background
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with Chicago geography
- Proficient in using GPS devices and basic fleet management software
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Clear communication skills and customer-focused attitude
- Pass background check and drug screening
