As a Route Driver at Apex Freight, you will play a critical role in our supply chain. We offer a modern fleet, consistent routing, and a supportive team environment designed to help you succeed from day one.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B vehicles to deliver freight to designated residential and commercial routes.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
- Interact professionally with customers, resolving delivery issues and ensuring satisfaction with every stop.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and delivery paperwork (BOLs).
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to navigate unfamiliar routes efficiently.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
