Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and navigate Chicago metro routes efficiently
- Load/unload merchandise with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during route stops
- Perform pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team for route optimization
- Resolve delivery issues with professionalism and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Chicago streets and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic computer literacy for route navigation apps
- Background check and drug screening required
