Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for freight transportation across Southern California
- Plan efficient routes using remote navigation tools and real-time traffic updates
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams via remote communication systems for load assignments
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of cargo and securement protocols
- Complete digital documentation and delivery reports through mobile platforms
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Experience with freight transportation and multi-stop deliveries
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and mobile logistics apps
- Ability to work independently with remote team coordination
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of California roadways and delivery regulations
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Must reside within 50 miles of Chula Vista for local availability
