Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial freight vehicles and adhere to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo using proper handling techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and delivery records.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients and partners.
- Uphold strict safety standards and report any accidents or incidents immediately.
- Manage inventory and ensure all delivery documentation is complete.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Experience in local or regional freight hauling is preferred.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) independently.
- Strong knowledge of Honolulu and surrounding road networks.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
