Responsibilities
- Load Management: Efficiently book and assign loads to qualified truck drivers to ensure timely delivery.
- Driver Communication: Maintain constant contact with drivers via phone and text to provide route updates, traffic alerts, and delivery instructions.
- Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding shipment status, tracking, and documentation.
- Route Planning: Utilize mapping software to plan the most efficient routes and resolve logistical issues on the fly.
- Compliance: Ensure all necessary paperwork, bills of lading, and invoices are accurate and filed correctly.
Qualifications
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to coordinate with drivers and clients.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills and familiarity with transportation management software or CRM tools.
- Reliability: Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Experience: Previous experience in logistics, dispatch, or freight brokerage is highly preferred.
- Availability: Must be available for shift work, including nights and weekends if necessary.
