Responsibilities
- Perform safe and timely delivery of goods to residential and commercial locations along a designated route.
- Inspect vehicle condition prior to and after each shift to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Interact professionally with customers, handling transactions and maintaining a positive brand image.
- Complete daily logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle inspection reports (DVIR) accurately.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a professional route driver or in logistics.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Basic computer skills for logging delivery data.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, and weekends as required.
