Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks on assigned regional routes to destinations including the Washington DC area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight distribution and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and daily mileage reports.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Provide exceptional customer service to brokers and shippers.
- Keep the tractor and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to cross state lines and travel to the Washington DC region.
