Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks over assigned routes in Georgia and surrounding states.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all freight is secured according to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all FMCSA and DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, traffic, or delivery issues.
- Represent the company professionally at customer delivery sites.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with a clean driving record.
- Must have a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR or regional driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of highway safety and traffic laws.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly and meet physical requirements for the position.
- Must have a valid social security card.
