Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently on regional routes (Miami to Georgia).
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs (EOBR) and paperwork, ensuring 100% DOT compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to shippers and receivers at delivery points.
- Uphold a professional image and adhere to company policies regarding driving hours and conduct.
- Report mechanical issues immediately to the maintenance department to ensure fleet safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (or B with tanker endorsement).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial truck.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of Georgia and Florida roadways and regulations.
- Ability to lift and secure cargo weighing up to 100 lbs.
