Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing experiments using superconducting qubit systems
- Lead interdisciplinary teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Publish research findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to improve qubit coherence times
- Secure external research funding through NSF and DoD grant applications
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive technical talent development initiatives
- Develop intellectual property portfolio with 5+ patent applications annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience managing research budgets exceeding $1M annually
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical applications
- Strong network connections with academic quantum research institutions
