Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans and box trucks to deliver goods to commercial and residential locations.
- Load and unload merchandise using hand trucks and pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling of fragile items.
- Verify delivery contents against invoices and obtain signatures upon completion.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle interior at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C CDL (or equivalent state driver's license) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in local delivery or logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Familiarity with handheld delivery devices or navigation software.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.
