Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vans to deliver packages and materials across designated Chicago routes
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring optimal safety and performance
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation using our digital tracking system
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and address client inquiries
- Adapt routes dynamically using real-time traffic and weather data to ensure on-time deliveries
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B or C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of Chicago streets, highways, and delivery zones
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and mobile delivery applications
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Background check and drug screening clearance required
- Must pass DOT physical examination
