Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure total safety compliance.
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight to designated destinations in the DC area within strict time windows.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and protection from damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and DOT regulations at all times.
- Represent the company professionally with clients and customers at every stop, ensuring high service standards.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and minor repairs as needed to keep the fleet in peak condition.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (Class A preferred).
- Current DOT Medical Card and valid DOT physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of navigation systems and GPS technology for efficient route planning.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service oriented mindset.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime when necessary.
