Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently in adherence to all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring weight distribution and cargo security.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols while on the road.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a similar role.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and transportation regulations.
- Basic computer skills for logging and documentation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed.
