Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks, vans, and delivery vehicles in urban and highway environments.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve issues and confirm delivery details.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as refueling and tire checks.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with required endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a professional capacity.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
- Physical stamina to lift boxes, climb in and out of vehicles, and endure long hours on the road.
