Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Transport cargo from origin to destination in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to all delivery schedules.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo protection against damage and theft.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD) and all required documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding route changes and delays.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean driving record throughout employment.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (no more than 3 points within the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and logbook compliance.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization is required.
