As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the Midwest. If you have a Class A CDL and a clean driving record, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours (ELD) and vehicle mileage.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads for transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery schedules.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and report any vehicle maintenance issues immediately.
- Uphold a professional image while representing Midwest Freight Solutions on the road.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a valid Medical Card.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and operating heavy machinery (tarping, loading).
- Reliable personal vehicle for local travel to terminal.
