Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial Class A vehicle to deliver goods to customers in the Colorado Springs area and surrounding regions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Load and unload merchandise, ensuring proper handling and securing loads to prevent damage during transit.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, resolving any delivery issues or concerns on the spot.
- Maintain accurate daily delivery logs and paperwork, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times to represent the Apex Logistics brand.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and paperwork.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends if required.
