Responsibilities
- Safe Driving: Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to ensure the timely delivery of goods to customers.
- Route Management: Follow designated routes and delivery schedules strictly to minimize delays and optimize efficiency.
- Load Handling: Safely load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and resolve delivery issues courteously and effectively.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery receipts, mileage logs, and other required paperwork.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience in a similar role.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use handheld devices for navigation.
- Availability: Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends as required by business needs.
