Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate commercial delivery vehicles (box trucks and vans) in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner on local routes.
- Cargo Handling: Load, secure, and unload merchandise, ensuring cargo is protected from damage during transit.
- Customer Service: Deliver packages to residential and commercial clients with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickup times, and mileage using handheld devices.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in top condition.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B is preferred; Class C with clean record considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in local route driving or delivery logistics.
- Record: Must possess a clean driving record and be insurable under our company policy.
- Physical: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of GPS navigation and handheld delivery software.
