Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on highways and local roads during designated night hours.
- Perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and secure cargo according to weight and balance regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and stay within legal hours of service.
- Deliver freight to designated terminals and yards on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding cargo status and delays.
- Adhere strictly to all FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations or DUIs within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving techniques.
- Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering cargo and operating hand controls.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
