Responsibilities
- Safely Transport Packages: Deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses within the Charlotte metro area efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional demeanor and handling packages with care.
- Accurate Documentation: Utilize handheld scanning devices to log deliveries, update tracking information, and maintain accurate digital records.
- Route Optimization: Plan the most efficient routes to minimize delays and fuel consumption while maximizing delivery windows.
- Problem Solving: Handle unexpected situations, such as wrong addresses or missed deliveries, with grace and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major infractions in the last 3 years).
- Reliable Vehicle: Access to a reliable, well-maintained vehicle (Company vehicle provided for full-time hires).
- GPS Proficiency: Comfortable using smartphone apps or GPS navigation systems for route planning.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to read and write English clearly.
- Professionalism: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
