Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on interstate highways, including routes from Nashville to California.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload freight securely using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Uphold a professional image at all times while representing the company.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong knowledge of North American roadways, specifically the Nashville and California routes.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo, including dock plates and tarps if required.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and weather conditions.
