Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks on designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and security of cargo.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo integrity and proper securing.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and potential delays.
- Adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of commercial truck systems and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
