Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and driver's logs in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring product integrity and safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to minimize risk.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and operating in various weather conditions.
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Basic computer literacy for logging and documentation.
