Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery points, handling questions and issues with a service-oriented approach.
- Load and unload cargo safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cab and cargo area at all times.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and vehicle maintenance.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and documentation.
