Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and box trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and ensure all paperwork is completed in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with shippers, receivers, and the public.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delivery status and potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Must possess a current DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
