Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Secure cargo using straps, chains, and binders to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Interact professionally with customers, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel.
- Report any mechanical issues or road hazards immediately to management.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic and safety regulations (DOT/FMCSA).
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MVR compliant).
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and comprehensive background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and safety standards.
