Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMV) in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, securing freight properly to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, shippers, and receivers regarding schedules and cargo status.
- Adhere to strict safety standards and participate in regular safety meetings.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and cargo securement.
- Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screen.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
