Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight and goods within Washington DC metropolitan area
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading
- Manage inventory documentation and paperwork accurately
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable truck driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DC traffic laws and city navigation
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging
