Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight to designated destinations using multi-axle commercial vehicles
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to resolve delivery exceptions and route adjustments
- Handle specialized cargo requiring temperature control or hazardous materials endorsement
- Perform basic preventative maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
- Utilize advanced telematics systems for real-time tracking and performance monitoring
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and climb vehicle ladders safely
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation systems
- Pass comprehensive background check and DOT physical examination
- Flexibility for overnight routes and weekend delivery schedules
