Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver goods to designated locations in and around the San Antonio area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks as required.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery times, mileage, and delivery statuses using electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all local traffic laws, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA), and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.) in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify minor vehicle issues.
