Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vans to transport goods safely and efficiently throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) to ensure cargo integrity and safety.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks, delivery receipts, and vehicle inspection reports (DVIR) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety hazards before and after each shift.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and route instructions at all times.
- Interact professionally with clients and customers during deliveries to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the company vehicle and cargo area.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (pass DOT physical).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, commercial vehicle handling, and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Must have a clean driving record.
