Job Overview:
We are looking for reliable individuals to transport goods safely and efficiently across the Philadelphia metropolitan area. You will be the face of our company, ensuring our clients receive their orders on time and in perfect condition.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles on local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring safety and security.
- Verify delivery contents against invoices and obtain customer signatures.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, mileage, and vehicle condition (DOT compliance).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience in a similar role.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local Philadelphia roadways and geography.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor tasks.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
