Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently within New York City and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment (hand truck, pallet jack, etc.) ensuring cargo security.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and comply with all DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of New York traffic laws and routes.
- Basic English proficiency for communication.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
