Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans for local and regional deliveries within the Detroit metro area.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of freight.
- Maintain accurate logs of hours of service and vehicle mileage.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and a clean driving record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of local Detroit roadways and traffic patterns.
- Physically capable of lifting and handling freight packages up to 50lbs.
