Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Navigate delivery routes using GPS systems to meet strict deadlines.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate on file.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no recent major violations.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screening.
