Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) to transport goods within San Jose Bay Area routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Assist in basic freight handling and securement procedures
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Strong navigation skills using GPS and route planning tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Must pass background check and MVR verification
