Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods within Chicago metropolitan area
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and maintain cargo manifests
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide excellent customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route changes or delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Chicago-area traffic patterns and regulations
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with DOT compliance
- Reliable transportation to and from depot locations
- Flexible availability including early mornings and weekends
