Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school, ensuring their well-being and safety throughout the journey.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is mechanically sound and safe for operation.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment on the bus at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, state regulations, and company safety protocols while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, school administrators, and parents regarding schedules and delays.
- Manage student behavior on the bus, enforcing safety rules and maintaining a professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) endorsement required.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT) and negative drug test results on file.
- Clear driving record with no major violations or DUI convictions within the last 7 years.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting and criminal history.
- Willingness to work early mornings and occasional afternoons.
