Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Adhere to traffic laws and school district policies
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Complete accurate trip logs and incident reports
- Assist students with mobility needs (wheelchair assistance if required)
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 1 year driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Flexibility to cover multiple routes as needed
- First Aid/CPR certification (provided if not current)
