Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Manage student behavior with firm yet positive guidance during transit
- Ensure proper loading/unloading procedures and student safety at all stops
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsements
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Clear driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with mobility devices
- Child CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
