Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 semi-trucks for local/regional freight delivery
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided)
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route optimization
- Communicate with clients to ensure accurate delivery documentation
- Report maintenance issues and maintain vehicle cleanliness
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years experience
- Clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service
- Strong navigation skills with GPS proficiency
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Local Southern California route familiarity preferred
