Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and lab equipment between healthcare facilities in Oakland
- Maintain temperature-controlled environments for sensitive materials during transit
- Document all deliveries using electronic tracking systems and maintain accurate logs
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards for patient data and biohazard protocols
- Coordinate with medical staff for urgent pickups and time-sensitive deliveries
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical logistics or courier services
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Proficient with GPS navigation and mobile tracking applications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate in varied weather conditions
