Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for local deliveries within the San Antonio metro area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using proper lifting techniques and forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, timesheets, and delivery receipts in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Interact professionally with clients and customers at delivery points to ensure satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company driving policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and vehicle maintenance basics.
- Basic computer literacy for logging hours and managing electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
