Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (EOBR) records for all trips.
- Keep the truck clean and presentable at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of cargo securement procedures and safety regulations.
- Basic proficiency with handheld devices and GPS navigation systems.
- Ability to lift and move cargo weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.
