Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks for local delivery routes within the Chicago metropolitan area and surrounding suburbs.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently at various delivery points.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to all federal DOT regulations and company safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding route changes or delays.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local Chicago roadways and traffic patterns.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing manual tasks.
- Excellent time management and customer service skills.
